YOUR PORTRAIT...

We recommend that your pet be groomed and exercised before arrival. Also, it would be ideal if you could bring along his favorite toys. The first five to ten minutes after arrival, your pet will be allowed time to become familiar with the surroundings (best to be leashed). Since the studio is on ground level there are no stairs to negotiate.

When your pet is ready, we start the posing in the studio. This may take as much as an hour. The time spent in outdoor activity (if desired) is variable. We have available plenty of treats and squeakers for coaxing the best from your pet. Thanks to the digital age, we are able to take a multitude of shots, ensuring that we capture some winners.

SITTING/SELECTION/EDITING...

When the "shoot" has finished, I, together with the owner, sit at the computer to make the initial selection, coming up with an ample number of good shots (usually 20 - 30). Then we hone this number down to two to three of the very best. This process takes about an hour. It is best done immediately following the photo shoot, but if that time is not convenient, another can be arranged. The final stage at the computer is the editing. I do this alone and it may take up to two hours. I will need the owner's final approval of the edited photos - a time for this can be arranged.

A contact sheet of the 20 - 30 selected photos will be provided free of charge to the customer at such time that the selection has been completed.
